Pilaten Crystal Collagen Eye Mask

Due to lack of sleep, I have pretty bad undereye circles (since I was in primary school) and fine lines as well. I never really bothered to use any sort of eye masks until I stumbled upon these online. For RM 1.50 per pair, it was definitely worth trying.

 

The words on the back seem pretty exaggerated.

It's supposed to melt and dissolve from the warmth of my skin, releasing the nutrients which will be absorbed. Then the mask will reduce in thickness because it has melted. Ah, what a bunch of crap, I thought.

The mask itself looks like agar-agar, translucent and jelly-like. It's soft and cold to the touch.

It fits my undereye perfectly. I had to press it a little to get rid of the air bubbles.

Making a weird face with the eye masks

After 20 minutes, I removed them and was surprised to see that the thickness really reduced! I like these eye masks because they are cooling and rather relaxing. No, they don't reduce undereye circles because I've used these continuously before and it didn't work. Because it is like jelly, it adheres well to my skin so I could continue with whatever I'm doing and not worry about them falling off (I was doing swatches while wearing these). Also, they don't irritate my eyes at all and don't leave a residue either.

The first batch I bought was much thicker than this and could actually be reused and there was a lot of essence. This is from the second batch. The masks were thinner and there was less essence. No ISO >.<

Pros : Cheap, relaxing, adheres well, no residue, not sticky, doesn't irritate eyes

Cons : Ineffective against undereye circles

My conclusion : Very nice to use when your eyes are tired but not effective in reducing undereye circles. Will repurchase if I find it at a cheap price.

Random : Just wanted to show you this mini dress which is from those Taiwan/Korea pre-orders. This was actually meant to be sold on my blog but since I'm not really doing it anymore, I decided to keep some of them. I think it's kinda cute with the pink and the bow. It has 2 pockets and the material is so comfortable!
