Palmer's Olive Butter Formula Lotion with Vitamin E

I have really really dry skin on my legs, especially on the knee and below. I used to accept that ‘it’s in the genes’ and can’t be helped, refusing to apply lotion. But now, I’ve realised that it’s getting worse and I have to do something about it. Recently, someone heard about my ‘plight’ and recommended me to use lotion with olive oil so I dropped by a Guardian’s and picked up a bottle of Palmer’s Olive Butter Formula lotion. Why Palmer’s? Well, it was the only one on the entire rack that had olive oil in it =/ Even though it was priced higher than the other lotions there, I decided to give it a shot. It’s rich in antioxidants and contains certified organic extra virgin olive oil.

I used it immediately that night after showering. It has a faint smell and spreads easily. After rubbing it in, it dries down although my hands feel like they have a coat of wax on them. Although a little sticky, it is bearable. I have used other sticky lotions before in the very distant past, like Rosken, so this is considered minor. I don’t like the sticky feeling when I’m up and about in the day. However, I don’t mind all that if it can heal my dry skin!

Label says :
  • Unique lipid structure moisturizes instantly
  • Loaded with antioxidants to keep skin youthful
  • Emulsifies on contact for superior skin smoothing
  • Anti Aging Peptide Complex helps build collagen for increased firmness and elasticity

It has a typical nozzle but can get messy if you don't wipe away the extra lotion before closing the cap. The lotion is moderately thick and is a light green colour.

As much as I had wanted it to work, it didn't do much for my dry skin. My skin is getting drier and drier although I have finished the whole bottle. I found a bottle of the cocoa butter version. Hopefully, that will fare better.
