Hada Labo Retinol Lifting + Firming Essence

*frowns* So many fine lines appearing on my forehead... *frowns some more* Look at all those lines under my eye... *major frown*

Yes, this is what goes through my mind when I look in the mirror. I decided that it is time to start using anti aging products! Prevention is better than cure, right? I do wish there WAS a cure for wrinkles though.. (Botox doesn't count)

Some time ago, Hada Labo came out with their anti-aging line which contains 3 main ingredients : Retinol Vitamin A, Collagen and Super Hyaluronic Acid to combat the signs of aging.

-Random thought-
Why do companies call it 'anti-aging' when in reality it doesn't stop you from aging?
You still grow older every year..

Just like the moisturizing and whitening line, it does not contain fragrances or alcohol, which I love. If possible, I want all my skincare to have no scent! Imagine layering lavender over rose, green tea, vanilla & mint. My nose won't like that...

Comes with a pump that works fine (no problems with it so far and I'm almost done). One pump is enough for the whole face. Near the end, I just leave the bottle standing straight so I can get all of it out. I love the fact that the bottle is translucent so you can see how much you have left. If I'm not mistaken, this bottle lasted me about 4 months. I used it twice a day at first but now I only use it at night.

Essence is quite liquidy and light.

I spread this yellow/golden essence between my palms before gently patting it on my face NOT slapping it on. I use it after the moisturizing lotion and before the moisturizing milk. It absorbs easily and isn't sticky.

The essence provides extra moisture but didn't really help with lifting and firming or fine lines. However, it makes sense that moisturized skin is more plumped up so fine lines are less obvious. I have not experienced any breakouts caused by this. This whole range is more expensive than the other 2 ranges but still affordable considering the amount you use.

Size : 30 g
Price : RM 75.90
Sold at : Guardian Pharmacy
Made in Japan

Pros : No fragrance/alcohol/mineral oil/colorant, not sticky or greasy, translucent bottle, moisturizing
Cons : Price higher than other 2 essences

My conclusion : Might repurchase but I have my eyes on the moisturizing essence since that is cheaper. However, for an essence, the price is still alright..

** I won the product from a contest and did not pay for it.
