A group of magicians pull off an amazing bank robbery. All while they're on stage in front of a grand audience in Vegas. Word spread quickly as the people went berserk after it rained money onto the audience. Sounds like an interesting movie, eh?
Henley (Isla Fisher), J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson) and Jack Wilder (Dave Franco) were recruited by a mysterious man and plucked from various places, each with their own talent. Together, the Four Horsemen perform 'magic' making money move from one place to another. FBI Agent Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) and Alma Dray (Melanie Laurent) from Interpol are hot on their heels but that's not all they have to worry about. An ex-magician who now specializes in exposing illusions, Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman) is also hunting them down.
I absolutely love these kind of Ocean's Eleven styled movies about ridiculous plots to steal money and their elaborate ideas. However, it disappointed me that they did not reveal how all the tricks were done, making it seem fake. Anyone can make a fake magic trick in a movie. I am more interested in knowing the science behind it. Some parts were revealed but they weren't exactly mind-blowing.
Due to the lack of obligation to reveal the tricks, some were rather elaborate and if I may say.. unrealistic. Despite my disappointment, I would still mark it as an enjoyable watch if you're not one who thinks a lot while watching movies =/ I absolutely loved Isla Fisher here btw. So gorgeous!
[Mini Spoiler]
There is a plot twist at the end, revealing who the mystery man is. However, it was mentioned too frequently in the course of the show that I kinda guessed it already. Meh.. The key is to be subtle..
When I saw the cheek tint I thought of EOS lipbalm, hehe! love the colours of both items you have here, I see myself getting the lip dressing soon :D
