Althea is on the roll with their own brand products which have all been worth a mention so far. Their latest product is very intriguing as the name is serum cleanser. Is it a facial wash, a serum or makeup removal? How about all 3?
My bottle is rather irritating as it leaks and I have to wash it after every use. Not sure if it's just mine? The product is quite watery and doesn't feel oily.
This serum cleanser cleans your skin while moisturising, purifying pores and balancing the pH level. Pure mint extract tightens tired, enlarged pores and gently removes dead skin cells. You can see that my skin looks moist after application.
Makeup Removal Test
Really putting the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser to the test here with a thick layer of concealer, sparkly red lipstick and eyeliner. I added only a few drops of the product and to my surprise, it was incredibly easy to remove the makeup! Everything including the concealer melted immediately and was lifted from my skin.
I wiped it off with tissue here but you can just wash off with water. Works just as well! Despite how well it removes makeup, it doesn't dry my skin and isn't oily either. This is due to the dual moisture cell system which has a combination of water and oil in overlapping layers.
Althea's Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is similar to micellar water, which I adore. I might go ahead to say it is even better as it is more effective at removing heavier makeup.
