[Food] Namelaka Patisserie - Dessert Disguised as Real Fruits

Your Instagram followers will love this place! Namelaka caters to customers seeking something different from the usual cakes at cafes - a set of very unique desserts disguised as fruits. The only way you can distinguish them from real fruits is to take a bite!

The current selection includes green apple, orange, pear, lemon and passionfruit. If you're ordering the entire set, you are recommended to eat them in this order starting from the lightest flavour to the strongest passionfruit. Price ranges from RM 19-23 each.

The shell is made from white chocolate and then crafted by hand to create the incredibly fruit-like appearance. They are filled with light, creamy ganache montee, fruit gel and real fresh fruit cubes! The Green Apple, Orange and Pear were really light and fresh; great to start with or if you just want to enjoy a smooth dessert. Among the three, I liked the sweet pear cubes the most, followed by the Green Apple with a dash of dill.
When you're ready to go for a stronger taste, try the lemon! I really enjoyed the Lemon dessert with bits of real lemon zest and fresh mint leaf. However, I must admit it may be too sour for some. Also, do not have the Lemon with the butterfly pea drink as that's sour too LOL

If sour is not your thing, the Passionfruit is your choice. Such an explosion of flavours with every bite! The combination of ginger ganache montee, passion fruit gel and fresh passion fruit was intense and delicious.

Wash down the desserts (and that Lemon!) with some fruity mocktails, coffee or hot chocolate. The colourful mocktails are really pretty in photos and taste good as well. I do recommend ordering them although I'm torn between the mocktails and a cup of good coffee.
Probably the best seats in the cafe; right next to the window with a view of busy Bangsar below.
